Call for Artists: Veterans Residency Partnership with Vets Recover

The Mobile Arts Council (MAC) is proud to partner with Vets Recover to offer a special residency opportunity for our members. This six-month rotating exhibition will provide artists the chance to display their work in a public space that supports the healing and recovery of veterans.

While this is not a paid residency, all artwork may be listed for sale, offering artists both exposure and the opportunity to generate income. Selected artists will be asked to submit an inventory of their pieces so MAC can prepare labels and ensure a cohesive, visually appealing display.

Artwork that highlights themes of patriotism, first responders, or service members will be prioritized—but all artistic interpretations are welcome. As with all MAC calls, submissions must adhere to our community standards: no hate speech, explicit sexual content, or otherwise inappropriate material will be accepted.

A wide range of mediums will be considered, including but not limited to: painting, drawing, fiber, glass, metal, sculpture, pastel, watercolor, woodburning, and both 2D and 3D works.
