Board Member Spotlight

We are excited to shine the spotlight on Katie Vogtner, a passionate and dedicated member of our Arts Council board.

A proud Mobilian, Katie has been an active board member for the past three years and has served as our secretary for the last two. She is often found at our gallery during Art Walk, where she’s always eager to share her enthusiasm for the arts and offer information on how others can become members of our vibrant community.

Katie’s creative journey spans over 20 years as a talented graphic designer. In her free time, she channels her artistic passion into oil painting, pottery, and various crafts. You can even find some of her beautiful creations in our Gallery gift shop, making her work a true part of our local art scene. She is seen in these stunning shots from our 12th Throwdown event and Member’s Appreciation Night, captured by Mike Kittrell. Also featured is a moment from the 2023 Neu Dawn Experience, where she modeled in front of a piece by Ryan Jetten, wearing a costume by MarLo Lombardi, and photographed by Richard Dollison.

While we will miss Katie when she relocates to New Orleans next year, we are thrilled that the New Orleans creative community will soon be benefiting from her talents and passion for the arts. We wish her all the best and are grateful for her invaluable contributions to our council and the arts in Mobile.
