Accepting anthology cover art submissions

Calling all local artists! The Mobile Arts Council is now accepting submissions for the cover art of “We Did It First: Poems from Poets of Mobile, Alabama” — an anthology celebrating the voices of 48 talented poets, curated by Mobile’s inaugural Poet Laureate, Charlotte Pence.

This is your chance to design the cover for this collection of poems and aid in bringing the artistic reflection of Mobile to life.

The book is set to be released in April 2025! All visual artists are encouraged to apply, don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to showcase your art and be a part of our creative community!

Details: Submissions can be in color or black & white. Cover size: 6″x9

Deadline: January 6, 2025

The selected artist will receive $200 for their work. Artists will be notified by January 10, 2025.
