July Artist Member of the Month

Congratulations to our July Artist Member of the Month, John Halliday !

Growing up on the Gulf Coast, John has always been fascinated with the wildlife and scenic beauty that life on the water provides. His love of art and being creative started at a very young age, but it was not until later in life that John found his calling as an artist. He was introduced to watercolor painting while traveling in Asia during graduate school. This experience resulted in the development of a loose and understated style that he continues to refine. He is drawn to watercolors due to their dynamic and unpredictable behavior. John has worn many hats in his professional life, including being a nurse, designer, teacher, and ultimately a full-time artist residing in Mobile.

John is excited to be participating in the upcoming Loyola Art Show , happening August 22nd – 24th at the beautiful Crown Hall. Mark your calendars for this inaugural event to view John’s and the work of 60+ artists in person.
