February Artist Member of the Month

Congratulations to February’s Artist Member of the Month, Missy Patrick !

Missy Patrick is well known in our community for being an extraordinary oil painter. Her pieces are a harmonious expression of brushwork, light and color. The rich surfaces of her work occasionally depict cityscapes but more frequently it’s the natural landscape that moves from her palette. Patrick enjoys the “Plein Air” method, taking inspiration while painting outdoors. She says, “I developed a kinship to outdoor landscape because I spent most of my childhood living on a river next to untouched woods.” She says that much of her painting includes water; the love of which comes from those early experiences. “As a young child I learned that I can capture and record my relationship with nature.”
