Opening the 2023-2024 USA Musical Arts Concert Series, flutist Dr. Andra Bohnet will present a faculty recital on Tuesday, September 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. Collaborating with Dr. Bohnet will be USA faculty pianist Dr. Robert Holm.
With the exception of the Sonata by Robert Muczynski, a chestnut of the flute repertoire, all of the works on the program will be by female composers. Three are Alabama premieres – Ruth Gipps CoolRunning Water, op.
