Artist Statement:
Working primarily in acrylic and watercolor, I particularly enjoy painting portraits of people and animals, as well as the challenge and beauty of figurative work. I love playing with color, light and shadow in an attempt to portray movement in my paintings and hopefully also capture the personality of my subjects. I have recently been working on a series of cow portraits ("Divine Bovines") and also enjoy painting with a local plein air group and the Mobile Figure Group.
Description of Work:
Acrylic on canvas, watercolor on paper, plein air oil on canvas or board.
I typically employ a painterly realistic style.

Member of Mobile Figure Group, which meets weekly to draw the figure from life
Member Plein Air South, a group of local artists who like to meet to paint outside
